Congratulations to Our 2025 FSDS Surgeon of the Year

The Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons is pleased to announce Dr. James J. DeVoursney as the 2025 FSDS Surgeon of the Year. This award is presented to a dermatologist who demonstrates exceptional clinical skill, leadership, and dedication to the advancement of dermatologic surgery. Dr. DeVoursney was selected by his peers across the state, reflecting the strong respect and admiration he has earned within the specialty.

Dr. DeVoursney serves as Managing Partner of Skin Care Physicians in Boynton Beach and is a Board Certified Dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. His medical career began as a registered nurse, and his continued pursuit of academic and clinical excellence led him to the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, where he served as Chief Resident and received multiple awards for academic achievement and teaching.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the current President of FSDS. He has also contributed to resident education through his mentorship with Baptist Health South Florida.

We congratulate Dr. DeVoursney on this well deserved honor and thank him for his leadership and service to our dermatologic surgery community.
